You’ve heard all about our trips around the Waynesville/Asheville area, but we haven’t told you about our actual AirBnB. We’ve decided that the hosts of ‘Mountain View Sunrise & Sunset’ could teach a master class on AirBnB hosting. We were greeted upon arrival by Brenda and her furry companions, Piper and Lucy. She showed us in, while the dogs watched the car, and gave us a brief tour of our apartment for the week.
A comfy sofa and chair bracketed the tv, which was set over a gas fireplace. A nice table centered the room, before it separated out into a small bed nook by the back door.
The main bedroom was separated from the living room by repurposed stained glass windows. That was Mom’s favorite part.
There was a nice big bathroom with double sinks and a bathtub/shower combo and single shower.
The kitchen was open and airy, with a divider to the laundry room with full size washer/dryer. Along with all the necessities, our hosts provided other items which just helped them over the edge of good hosts to great hosts. Snacks and a few drinks were scattered about the cupboards and refridgerator. Laundry soap and dryer sheets waited in the laundry room. The previously mentioned horse treats were available. A whole basket of brochures for interests around the area. The list could go on and on, but let’s talk about outside.
In the back, along with the other metal and glass artwork was a fountain. The patio set was situated so that you could enjoy the sunset next to a fire pit. Unfortunately, it was just too wet during our stay to have a fire, but the thought was there.
Out front, by where we were able to park right in front of the door, was a set of chairs to enjoy the sunrise (if we ever crawled out of bed that early). This provided a view of the farm where our equine friends resided.
Every effort was made to make us feel welcomed and wanted, but we were also given our space to enjoy our time as we saw fit. All in all, a wonderful stay with wonderful people. If you’re looking for a mountain get away, I would definitely encourage you to try and book here with George and Brenda.
